A Guyana Power and Light (GPL) electricity pole is on the verge of falling into the yard of the St. John’s College on Waterloo Street, Georgetown and the company is being accused of ignoring the situation despite an official report.
School officials, who asked not to be named, said the state of the electricity pole was brought to teachers’ attentions by students who were playing in the yard.
