The lifeless body of the 58-year-old woman of Lot 29 Enmore North, East Coast Demerara was discovered on the morning of May 26 by her reputed husband of eight years, Nazir Khan called Cheela. Khan was subsequently held for questioning.

A post-mortem examination revealed that she died as a result of blunt trauma to the head.
