New postage stamps celebrate Full Gospel Fellowship’s golden jubilee

New local postage stamps, to commemorate the golden jubilee anniversary of the Full Gospel Fellowship (FGF) of churches, are to be launched tomorrow.

According to a press release from the Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC), the stamps will be available in $80 and $160 denominations and sold at all post offices countrywide.

The initiative is a collaboration of the GPOC and the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches (Guyana).

The GPOC release noted that the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches (Guyana) was founded by Apostle Phillip Mohabir and has been in existence since April 1964. This church consists of approximately 120 churches located in all ten administrative regions in Guyana, it added.

“Non-member Philatelists and members of the public who would like to obtain first Day Covers for this new issue of the postage stamps should contact the church’s headquarters, 242 South Road Bourda, or on telephone number 226-8877. Philatelists who are registered with GPOC will receive an updated programme,” the release further said.

The “Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches-Jubilee Anniversary 1964-2014” postage stamps will be launched at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Home Stretch Avenue, Georgetown at 1pm.
