The police say they are still investigating the murder of miner Quacy Thompson, 31 years, of Linden, which occurred at about 2000h on Tuesday night at Mowasi Landing, Potaro.
Investigations have revealed that Thompson was involved in an argument with two men, during which he was stabbed and shot to his body.
No arrest has been made as yet. Thompson was deported from the US around three years ago.
