At about 1300h. today, police say that businesswoman Oma Persaud, 36 years, was in her shop at Strathspey, ECD, when she was attacked by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
The men held her at gunpoint and took away an undisclosed sum of cash and escaped in a waiting motor car.
The police responded to the report received and subsequently arrested the two suspects in another motor vehicle along Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.
They have been positively identified and are in police custody.
