Cumberland man died from cirrhosis

An autopsy on 47-year-old Allan Gobin proved that he died from cirrhosis of the liver and was not murdered as originally suspected.

The autopsy was performed on Gobin, by Government Pathologist Dr Vivekanand Brijmohan on Saturday at the New Amsterdam Hospital.

Gobin called ‘Antics’ of Lot 41 New Street, Cumberland, East Canje Berbice was found in an abandoned house at Moore Street, Cumberland, at 15: 45 hrs on Friday with suspected marks of violence. However, the post-mortem result proved that he died from cirrhosis.

Gobin was known to be a heavy drinker.
