On August 25 at around 1pm, Jaigopaul was riding his motorbike when a bus heading in the opposite direction slammed into him.

Jaigopaul, who was thrown off of the cycle, was later picked up and rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital. The bus driver, who was alone in the vehicle at the time, had been arrested.
