Autopsies still to be done on Rockstone accident victims

Autopsies have not yet been conducted on the two persons who perished in an early morning accident at the Rockstone Junction on Sunday.

It was anticipated that the post-mortem examinations would have been conducted yesterday on Raymond Khan, 64, and his sister Jean Williams, 60, who died in the accident. Officials at the Mackenzie Hospital said the two siblings were already dead when their bodies arrived at the hospital before noon on Sunday.

It is alleged that Khan’s three 22-karat diamond stud earrings which he was wearing when he set out on the journey to Bartica, were missing when his body was taken to the Mackenzie Hospital.

According to reports, three other persons, who were in the vehicle at the time of the accident, had been briefly hospitalized but subsequently discharged.

The accident occurred at the junction of the roads leading to Rockstone and Mahdia, six miles outside Linden.
