Victim’s daughter, 8, testifies at bucket drowning inquiry

Three persons, including the eight-year-old daughter of murdered Friendship woman Shelly Persaud, testified yesterday as the preliminary inquiry (PI) into the murder charge against her partner, Vindra Seeram, continued.

The young girl made her appearance during the third hearing held since the PI commenced on Monday. She is the daughter of both Persaud and Seeram. She had long since been reported as a key witness to Persaud’s June murder.

Two policemen, Corporal Robinson and Constable Seeram also testified about their involvement in the investigations. Both men had testified on Tuesday. Three more police officers are expected to take the stand today; the prosecution is also expected to close its case against Seeram.
