According to Prosecutor Deniro Jones, a police patrol on duty in Alberttown stopped Fernandes and conducted a search on him that uncovered the instrument in his pants pocket.

Fernandes told Magistrate Ann McLennan that he was sorry about the crime, while assuring her that it wouldn’t happen again. He requested that she be lenient with him and allow him to do community service.

She, however, sentenced him to one month in jail.
