Dharma Shala invites the continued generosity of the general public

The Dharm Shala is appealing for financial assistance to continue its humanitarian service.

In a press release, the Dharm Shala said that it will host its children’s Christmas party on December 11 and its traditional luncheon for the poor on Christmas Day.

The public, both individuals and firms, can make financial donations to the treasurer, secretary, assistant secretary, president or vice-president c/o Dharm Shala, 140 King Edward Street, Albouystown or Edward Boyer c/o National Hardware (Guyana) Limited, Water Street, Georgetown.

The Dharm Shala has for many years served the sick, destitute, unloved, lonely, and countless other persons in need providing meals, clothing and shelter. It needs financial support to continue this needed service to society through its institutions both in Georgetown and Fort Canje, Berbice.

Recently, according to the release, the Dharm Shala exhausted a great portion of its accumulated savings in the maintenance of its nine buildings inclusive of electricity and water rates. The organisation is funded solely by donations from the public.
