Duo remanded over $2M knife-point robbery in Linden

Two men accused of tying up and robbing another man of over $2M in valuables were yesterday remanded to prison.
Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court Two heard that Robert Beckles, a miner, and Kester Gilkes, a taxi driver, being together and armed with knives, robbed Alexander Hernandez of a quantity of valuables amounting to a total value of $2,192,000, belonging to Chetram Ramlochan, on December 8, at 157 Amelia’s Ward, Linden.
