Legality of dog-eared vehicle licence?

Dear Editor,

Recent robberies committed on vehicles traversing to and from airport as well as from commercial banks to and from business places or homes, have prompted me to note that my name and address are prominently displayed on my dashboard via a copy of the vehicle licence.

In the interest of safety I have recently taken the step of ‘dog earing’ that piece of information as it is at the top of the document.

Could someone in authority say whether or not I am breaking the law in the interest of safety?

Yours faithfully,
David Gomes
