Tattoo artist on bail for malicious wounding

A man who allegedly damaged a quantity of windows and further inflicted wounds on the owner was released on $40,000 bail after he appeared in a Georgetown court facing the two charges.

Vishal Outar, 34, pleaded not guilty after the charges against him were read by Magistrate Annette Singh at the Georgetown Magistrates’ court on Friday.

It is alleged that on November 24, at Section ‘C’, Block ‘Y’, Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara, he damaged twelve windows valued at $39,000, which was the property of Kenneth Scott.

On the same day he was also charged with maliciously wounding Scott.

The unrepresented man told the court he earns his livelihood from doing tattoos and body piercings.

Prosecutor Aduni Innis had no objections to bail which was granted in the sum $40,000. His matter was transferred to the Providence Magistrate’s Court for February 24, 2015.
