Suspect in Tuschen triple murder arrested

At about 0800h today, the police say that ranks arrested the suspect in the triple-murder committed at Tuschen Housing Scheme, EBE, on December 18, 2014.

He was arrested in the Tuschen Backdam and is in police custody where he will be charged shortly for court. The suspect, Joshua Franklyn, a cane-harvester has been on the run since the killings at 12:30 am last Thursday.

He allegedly wounded his estranged wife Geeta Boodhoo and then allegedly killed her mother, Bibi Zalima Khan, 55, and her granddaughter, Ashley, 9. The third victim, Floyd Drakes, 30, was visiting Boodhoo at the time. The trio died as a result of “multiple incised wounds.”
