Thirty-three Toolsie Persaud Limited customers yesterday received late Christmas gifts following the drawing of the company’s Christmas 2013 Promotions last week.
To be eligible for entry into the promotion, customers were required to spend $3,000 to collect a coupon.
The promotion, which began November 1, 2013 and ended December 24, afforded customers the opportunity to win a number of prizes,
including $300,000 worth of kaleidoscope paint, microwaves, bicycles, and water pumps. Twenty customers will also be presented with consolation prizes of home hardware items.
Munilall Mohanlall, first prize winner of $300,000 worth of paint, stated that the prize is exactly what he needed. Mohanlall, who had built his Mon Repos home 5 years ago, is yet to paint it.
“This is the first time something like this has ever happened to me,” an excited Mohanlall said to this publication. “I’m very much pleased and happy.”
The welder, who said that he is a regular customer of Toolsie Persaud, stated that the winning coupon had been gained after he had purchased steel and pipes from the company.
Another winner, Gloria Fraser, shared that she had no idea what her prize was but she felt good that the company was giving back to its customer.
Fraser, it was later revealed, was one of six 3rd prize winners of a bicycle. The woman, who hails from Arthurville, Wakenaam, said that she will give the bicycle to her grandson as she already has one of her own.
