Man shot during Annandale break-in recovering

The man shot during a break-in at an Annandale family’s home on January 17, is on the road to recovery, in the High Dependency Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).

A relative of Dunstan La Fleur, 28, who was shot after he entered the home of the Jeffrey family at Annandale, East Coast Demerara, told Stabroek News yesterday, that La Fleur came out of the Intensive Care Unit of the city hospital on Tuesday afternoon.  The relatives said that La Fleur has shown a little improvement. He sustained gunshot wounds to the jaw. That injury, the relative said, will require another surgery, since his jaw is badly damaged. The only form of communication with the injured La Fleur, is through signs he makes with relatives and hospital staff.
