Police to seek DPP’s advice on Colwyn Harding probe

The investigations by the Police Office of Professional Responsibility into the allegations against police ranks of Timehri   Police Station made by Colwyn Harding have been completed, the police said today.

The Police Force said it is now in the process of seeking legal advice in the matter through the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Harding has claimed that he was sodomised by a policeman with a baton. Several others have provided witness statements saying they too were brutalized during the period that Harding had been held. Harding was hospitalized for an intestinal hernia while in custody and  has undergone two surgeries.
