KFC delivery man injured in minibus crash

A KFC delivery man was yesterday afternoon rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was involved in an accident with a minibus on Mandela Avenue.

While details are sketchy, reports reaching this newspaper stated that Dwayne DaSilva of East La Penitence was on his way to make a delivery and was attempting to overtake a vehicle when he collided head on with the minibus that was attempting to overtake another vehicle and had ended up in his path.

Da Silva sustained serious head injuries and was up to press time waiting to have a CT scan performed.

This is the second accident involving a delivery biker in the last month. On January 21, Julian Welch, a delivery biker attached to Mario’s was killed after he swerved from a car and crashed into a concrete wall at the corner of Lamaha and New Garden streets.
