Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee is awaiting a report from two overseas 911 Emergency reform consultants from the United States, who were here last week reviewing the 911 emergency system.
Speaking at the PPP weekly press briefing at Freedom House, he said the consensus has been that instead of having separate emergency lines for police, fire and ambulance the response should be consolidated. Rohee said that “the complaints were numerous and therefore we couldn’t just sit on our hands and do nothing about it, apparently we don’t have the capacity… at the national level to correct this deficiency and so I thought it was necessary
