Several persons had a narrow escape when a car swerved to avoid hitting a bus, PEE 1988 that reportedly turned suddenly in front of it at Bush Lot, West Coast Berbice (WCB) around midday yesterday.
According to reports the car, a Toyota Mark X PPP 8703 attached to the Competition & Consumer Affairs Commission also hit a parked truck, GFF9481 belonging to Samad Rahim.
The car which was heading to Georgetown then crashed into a gate before ending up in a yard. Reports are that the driver of the bus turned suddenly as the car was about to overtake, resulting in the collision.
