The discovery of cocaine hidden in a kitchen ‘stump’ wall resulted in an Eccles, East Bank Demerara woman being placed on bail after she appeared in a city court yesterday.
Janette Sharma, 53, of lot 65 Eccles East Bank Demerara, denied that she had seven grammes of cocaine in her possession for the purpose of trafficking, on March 22.
According to Police Prosecutor Joel Ricknauth, on the day in question, police ranks went to Sharma’s home, acting on information, and requested to search the premises. He said that after the woman consented to the search, police found a whitish, rock-like substance,
