Corentyne teen stabbed near New Amsterdam restaurant

A Corentyne teen is currently a patient in the intensive care unit of the New Amsterdam Public Hospital after he was stabbed by two men near a popular Chinese restaurant. Nineteen-year-old Kevin Crandon on Monday night sustained stab wounds below his chin and to his head.

According to Crandon’s mother, Shimoon Crandon, her children went to the beach on Monday and were later in New Amsterdam liming at Lim Kang’s Chinese Restaurant when two men confronted her son. She said it was unclear as what really occurred, but she was told by another son that his brother was the victim of a “stick-up.”
