Remigrant drowned

A post-mortem examination performed by Government Pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh on the body of Victor Forde has revealed that he died from drowning.

The body of Forde, a remigrant, was pulled out of a Meadow Brook canal on Saturday morning. The 64-year-old man had left his Lot 227 Lodge Housing Scheme home on Friday afternoon. There were no marks of violence on his body and all of his valuables were found on his person. His bicycle was also found a short distance away.

According to his niece-in-law Floretta Bayley, Forde would normally leave home in the afternoons to “tek 2 shots.”
