Retired educators honoured by Rose Hall club

Four retired educators were honoured for their outstanding contributions at a function organized by the eight cricket teams of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC). The educators: Deserean Benjamin, Zalimoon Khan, Eulis Tasher and Dresma Moore provided a combined 150 years of committed service.

The event was being held for the second year in collaboration with the Berbice Bridge Company Inc. (BBCI) at the St. Francis Xavier Training Centre.

The former teachers each received a medal, plaque and a special gift for their outstanding contribution towards the development of education.

Secretary/Chief Execu-tive Officer of the RHTYSC, Hilbert Foster told the gathering that over the years the club “has placed special emphasis on the promotion of education and has been honouring numerous outstanding teachers.”
