In the May 26th 2014 edition of Stabroek News under the headline `Hope Canal sluice gates yanked from Courtney Benn’, it was erroneously reported that the contract for the fabrication, delivery and installation of gates for the Hope Canal sluice has been taken away from Courtney Benn Contracting Services Limited (CBCSL).
Stabroek News is now satisfied that the said statements were wholly unfounded and desires to express its regrets to CBCSL and apologise for any embarrassment and inconvenience which may have been caused to CBCSL.
