Trial dates set for cosmetologists accused of cocaine trafficking

Two cosmetologists, charged with cocaine possession earlier this year, will have their separate trials commence on July 31 at the Providence Magistrate’s Court.

The decision was made yesterday when Tishana Edwards, 23, of Lot 2 Victoria Road, Plaisance and Ashery Corbin, made appearances once more before Magis-trate Leron Daly.

Edwards, 23, of lot 2 Victoria Road, Plaisance had initially appeared in court on February 25 charged with possessing 2.092 kilogrammes of liquid cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The woman, who had been nabbed on Mashramani Day at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), had allegedly concealed the substance in bottles of crème liqueur.
