The police say they are investigating a fatal accident which occurred at about 0900h today at Wallers Delight Public Road, WCD, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Simon Bachu, of Wallers Delight Squatting Area, WCD.
Investigations revealed that the pedestrian ran over the road and was struck down, by a motor vehicle in the process. He was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
