The police say that investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 1930h last night on the Lusignan Public Road, ECD, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Deonarine Singh, 48 years, of Lusignan.
Investigations, police say, have revealed that Singh allegedly attempted to cross the road and was struck down by a motor vehicle. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the GPHC.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
