At about 1945h last night, police say that Richard Giddings, 24 years, of Diamond, EBD, lost control of a motor vehicle that he was driving on the Belle Vue Public Road, WBD, and crashed into a bridge.
He suffered injuries and was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, at about 0515h. today, police say that Ryan Richards, 19 years, of Diamond New Housing Scheme, EBD, lost control of a motor car that he was driving on the Public Road at Tempe Village, WCB, and crashed into a utility pole.
Police say that he along with passengers Cindy Singh, 24 years; Tricia Ross, 35 years; and Ryan Hookumchand, 25 years, all of Diamond New Housing Scheme, suffered injuries.
Singh was pronounced dead on arrival at the Fort Wellington Hospital, while the others have been hospitalised.
Investigations are in progress.
