A shortage of common sense

Dear Editor,

Is there a shortage of common sense in Guyana? Why do the painters of road markings in Georgetown choose to do so on a busy, bustling Tuesday morning at 08:00hrs. Really? Are they serious?

Why would anyone want to be painting the road at a time when people are trying to get to work, children are trying to get to school, wild minibus drivers are now beginning their daily break-every-road-regulation routine and crazy taxi drivers who treat their brake pedal like a rare piece of precious, fragile gold and diamond jewellery are on the go.

This practice is not only less than wise it is also dangerous for the brothers doing the work. I urge whoever is in charge to stop this. Have they ever heard of the concept of early Sunday morning?

Yours faithfully,
Mikoowanyah Yosef-Yisrael
