Dear Editor,
As a resident living near Congress Place in Sophia, it is with a huge amount of trepidation that I see a banner advertising a two-day Mash Mania.
I recall last year that their J’Ouvert event lasted until after 5 o’clock in the morning with the music at full blast until that hour. Needless to say, I had a full night of sleeplessness.
I do not know what will take place this year but I sincerely hope that if the ‘mashing’ goes on until sunrise, that it be done with consideration for the nearby residents who work long hours all week and look forward to peaceful slumber at night.
