Road from Mahdia Hill Top should be lighted

Dear Editor,

The road which leads down from the Mahdia Hill Top, should be lighted by utility poles. Because at nights as pedestrians trek this dark path, they can see their way only by the glare of passing vehicles. As they walk towards the hand rail bridge one (especially a stranger) could know that the bridge is ahead only by the sound of the rushing waters beneath.

As pedestrians, particularly the elderly, step into potholes and cuts caused by erosion and vehicles, they could topple right overboard as they grope through the darkness. This darkness also facilitates criminal activities. I close by appealing to the Regional Administration to put lights along this roadway.

Yours faithfully,
George Carrington
