On Tuesday, I challenged President Ramotar to dispute my contention that the ‘disaster’ of the Georgetown municipality was not entirely the result of actions by his government.
Now Minister Whittaker has stated that Ms Sooba followed council’s procedure to take $500,000.00 of council’s money. Mr Whittaker must tell the public specifically what those procedures were, based on the law and regulations.
For example, Chapter 28:01 states that in the excess of $2000, there is a requirement of a certain procedure. Was this followed?
