Political parties should screen members before selecting them for Parliament

Dear Editor,

Political parties should screen their members before selecting them to be members of Parliament.

Not because parties need members who are highly qualified academically and who are eloquent, witty and articulate should they be chosen as parliamentary representatives. Exemplary politicians like Eusi Kwayana ought to be chosen. The content of their character should be the criterion with regard to choosing parliamentary representatives.

Yours faithfully,
George Carrington
