On Wednesday, June 4, I could not stay for the entire first session of the Walter Rodney Commission of Inquiry (COI). However, while there, I heard Mr Joe Hamilton (MP/PPP/C) state under oath, among other absurdities, that he met me with others in 1978 as part of a House of Israel delegation.
That statement is a total fabrication designed to serve his latest sponsors.
Mr Hamilton first came to notice in the early 1990s. He impressed me as one who could and did with clarity and verve expose the evils, corruption and mistakes of the PPP. At the meeting he, in his own way, “tore the PPP/C to pieces.” Why his sudden embrace of those he publicly criticized? He has a history of shifting his loyalties.
