Following the Pope’s example

Dear Editor,

It is quite the ‘in’ thing these days for persons to align themselves in some manner with Pope Francis. A letter writer in the KN (September 4), Hydar Ally, reminds us to look back at history and remember the days in the 1960s when the PPP was accused, like the Pope is today, of having a “Marxist, Communist” agenda, simply for helping the working class.

It would truly be an act of solidarity with the vision and the actions of Pope Francis, if Hydar Ally could now encourage the PPP elite to move out from their mansions sell their Prados and Rav 4s and thus be witness to the life of those who struggle in our society to try to make ends meet.

Yours faithfully,

Raymond Shaw
