Henry Singh’s breakfast programme should be commended

Dear Editor,

I make it my duty to encourage people to listen to good radio. I think that NCN is still the best option, particularly the Voice of Guyana. I am saying a few words here to thank Mr Henry Singh for his impact on me and those who listen to him.

I commend him for his Saturday morning breakfast programme. His music is diverse and rich and it satisfies the taste of a wide cross-section of people. What is very good is that his programme is very smooth flowing and it has a nice simple structure to it. It is not jerky and he never talks idly on and on. There is a business-like purpose to him. I get this impression when I listen to the way he starts and closes.

Then he is always full of interest, as he informs listeners on sports, important events, and happenings from around the world at large. His outstanding ability is with language; he is really gifted. I like how he always educates even while he is entertaining.

Sometimes I do not get up early enough to listen to him on the early morning shows on Saturdays and Sundays, when he signs on the Voice of Guyana. However, the depth and readiness are still very much there as I listen only after missing a portion. He has a well-planned programme and there is a noticeable newness about what he does. He does not repeat clichés and he is never monotonous.

Let me thank NCN for having him and let me encourage the young broadcasters to learn from him. I think that the CEO will do well to pay attention to him. In fact this letter is really for the CEO.

Yours faithfully,

Owren Case aka Uncle Casey
