Benschop in meeting on local govt

Civil rights activist Mark Benschop held a meeting at Stabroek Square last evening on the issue of Local Government Elections. In a release, he said that the mission is to bring awareness to the people on the importance of Local Government Elections, and the role they need to play. He said he also spoke about the government’s promise to inject $500M to clean up Georgetown, and the fact that the PPP needs to tell the people how the money is going to be spent.
