Thirty-four Peace Corps trainees arrived in Georgetown on the evening of April 29 to complement their 39 colleagues already in service, a release from the US Embassy said today.
The new trainees make up the 26th group of Peace Corps Volunteers to serve in Guyana, and they will soon begin their pre-service training. The group is expected to be officially sworn in as Peace Corps Volunteers on July 3, 2014.
