US Embassy team meets Minister of Natural Resources

A team from the Embassy of the United States of America, Guyana, consisting of Frisco Mc Donald (left), Economic and Political Officer and James Bjorkman (centre) Political and Economic Counselor recently paid a courtesy call on Robert M. Persaud, Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment.

A release from the Ministry of Natural Resources said that discussions centred on ongoing support for the Natural Resources and the Environmental Sectors with emphasis on sustainability and environmental stewardship. Persaud stated that the United States Embassy has been a valuable partner with collaboration in the areas of oil and gas, park and green spaces development, the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, among other areas.
