Flores pointed out that the students were enjoying the course so far and were attentively involved during the sessions. He explained that on Thursday, the volleyballers engaged in training directed towards improving their blocking, spiking and setting techniques. Meanwhile, Marques, who hails from Rio de Janiero, Brazil, stated that the performances were good and that he plans having a beach volleyball stronghold in Guyana like what entails in his home town.

Sessions on advanced playing strategies and team planning were discussed by the instructors as they sought to highlight the importance of those areas which will profit them during matches. He further lauded the initiative of the world body, (FIVA) for putting together the course which he noted will help to further spread the sport and put Guyana on the map as a premier volleyball nation.

Marques concluded by saying that after the course culminates, the players will receive certificates for their participation which will  afford them the validity to participate in international volleyball competitions. The sessions continue today and will end tomorrow.
