Moore, Reon King to conduct camp for upcoming regional four-day competition

The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) says it will continue the process of encampment of cricketers preparing for the upcoming regional competitions including the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional Four-Day Competition which is set to bowl off on February 28.

The GCB also stated that some 18 cricketers will be involved in a camp which begins tomorrow at the GCB hostel, La Bonne Intention.

This camp will feature all of the players who were not selected for the ongoing NAGICO Super50 tournament currently underway in Trinidad and Tobago. According to a release from the GCB, the camp will be conducted by senior coach Julian Moore and he will be assisted by former West Indies and Guyana fast bowler Reon King and national coach Quasen Nedd.

The trainers for the camp will be Patrick King and Carl Stephenson. The players currently engaged in the 50-over competition will join the camp for a short period to facilitate practice matches upon their return.

All the players are reminded that further fitness tests will be conducted during the new encampment period hence players are expected to maintain minimum fitness levels.

The players to be encamped are: Sewnarine Chattergoon, Jason Sinclair, Rajendra Chandrika, Anthony Adams, Ryan Ramdass, Keon Joseph, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Vishal Singh, Rajiv Ivan, Ricardo Adams, Totaram Bishun, Zaheer Mohamed, Amir Khan, Shaquille Williams, Jonathan Foo, Royan Fredericks, Andre Stoll and Ron Thompson.
