He was flying in from South Africa where he represented the Cape Cobras in their domestic T20 tournament.

The Trinidadians lost their opening match by 28 runs and will need to defeat the Leewards and Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) to qualify for the semi-finals.

Narine will be relied on to boost his side’s bowling attack after a poor showing that allowed Barbados to score 269 on a century from Jonathon Carter and a blitzy 83 fromWest Indies player Dwayne Smith.

Trinidad and Tobago will play their next game against Leeward Islands in Tobago today.
