Supply Primary, Providence win

Coordinator Eddie Nichols, the former Test umpire hands over the trophy to Sherwin Williams.

Aggressive batting by David Scott and responsible batting from Vid Prakash ensured victory for their respective teams in the East Bank District Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Festival played yesterday at Banks DIH Thirst Park ground.

Game one saw Diamond Primary losing to Supply Primary by 39 runs. Batting first Supply Primary got off to a poor start losing Kenrick Salvador caught behind off the first delivery of the match bowled by Winston Goodrich. It got worse in the second over as Jamal Thomas struck twice in successive balls to leave supply at 10-3 at the end of the over. However, an aggressive 34-run, fifth wicket partnership between David Scott who hit three huge sixes in his top score of 20 and Shane Argyle (8) rebuilt their team’s innings.
