ROSEAU, Dominica,  CMC-Work is about to resume on the much anticipated FIFA-funded Goal 2 project in Dominica after a two year delay.

The project involves the construction of a football playing facility of international standard.

“I must confess that the long wait was quite frustrating and disturbing for all those associated with this project, more so for us at the Dominica Football Association,” said President of the Dominica Football Association (DFA) Glen Etienne.

“Nonetheless, we are now seeing light at the end of the tunnel and that augurs very well for the future of football in this country. For that we are most elated”.

The project involves the erection of the perimeter fencing, sitting accommodation, players’ dressing rooms and a room for match officials.

“Upon completion of this phase, the next phase will consist of additional sitting accommodation on the western side, dormitories as well as match officials quarters,” Etienne explained.
