Third and final leg of Cheddi Jagan memorial race pedals off tomorrow

The cream of the nation’s cyclists will transform the roadways of Essequibo into their battleground when the third and final leg of the Cheddi Jagan Memorial road race pedals off tomorrow. Scheduled to roll off at 09:00hrs from Supenaam, the 60+ mile trek will feature national wheelsmen like defending champion, Paul DeNobrega, second leg winner, Alanzo Greaves and winner of the initial leg, Michael Anthony. Last year’s road race champion, Raynauth Jeffrey along with this season’s most successful rider, Orville Hinds and other prominent bikers like Robin Persaud, Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams, Geron Williams, Godfrey Pollydore, Junior Niles and others will also be on their saddles.  Team Alanis’ Raul Leal is the defending champion of the junior category and will also aim to replicate that feat while competing with the seniors.
