Carter hits first century in BCA T20

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – West Indies A team player Jonathan Carter has blasted his first century in the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) Sagicor General Twenty20 championship.

Carter cracked a whirlwind 105 and took four wickets to spur defending champions Sagicor Life UWI to a 77-run win over Premix & Precast Yorkshire in Series 2 of the championship on sunday.

Left-hander Carter, who faced 44 balls, hit 11 fours and eight sixes as UWI amassed a record 252 for five off 20 overs after winning the toss.

He brought up his first century in the seven-year history of the tournament off 42 balls.Carter, a Barbados national player, then took four for 21 off four overs with his right-arm medium-pace in Yorkshire’s 175 for eight.
