The PMRC headed by Bhola Ramsundar presented the items to the Berbice club earlier this week.

PMCC President Vickram Seubarran said he was pleased that persons abroad were still interested in the maintenance of the legendary club, explaining that the club held a series of fundraisers in order to purchase a cover and were grateful that Ramsundar and company chipped in with another.

Apart from the donations the president explained that his club is in the process of gearing up for the imminent Berbice senior season which starts in July.

He also confirmed the services of Berbice coach Michael Hiles who is expected to conduct a series of physical training sessions including two beep tests before the end of July in order to select the club’s senior side.

Meanwhile, a “White-Ball” invitational cricket tournament facilitated by another PMRC member Roy Ramgoolam, will be staged in July for teams in the lower Corentyne area who will battle for a first prize of US$2000.
