Secondary Schools tapeball competition set to bowl off today

A secondary school tapeball competition sponsored by Trophy Stall Limited will bowl off this morning at the National Cultural Centre tarmac.

Organised by sports organizer James Lewis, the 15-team tournament is being held in observance of Education Month.

The tournament, which ends on October 4, will be played in a round robin group before advancing to the knockout stage and the 15 teams will be placed into five groups of three teams each.

Matches will be six overs a side and the winning team from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.

At stake in the competition is the Trophy Stall Cup and medals while the runners-up will receive medals.

Trophies will also be awarded to the Most Valuable Player and the Player-of-the-Match in the final.

Group A: – Charlestown Secondary, St John’s College and Lodge Secondary; Group B: – comprises Queen’s College, North Ruimveldt Secondary and Dolphin Secondary.

Group C: – St Mary’s High, South Ruimveldt Secondary and St Stanislaus College.

Group D:-North Georgetown Secondary, Brickdam Secondary and Central High.

Group E: – East Ruimveldt Secondary, Tutorial High and Christ Church Secondary.
